Simple DIY table runner decor for your wedding
I’ve seen a lot of table runners before but this one just shouts simple and elegant. I had to show off this how-to DIY project courtesy of our partners at weddingstar. I just love the soft hues and the simple greens but anyone can make this unique. Be creative, the possibilities are endless. Enjoy!
- Italian Ruscus (Or your choice of green foliage) and floral wire
- Fabric ruffle flowers
Step 1: Lay out all your individual stems. Using approximately 5 branches of ruscus per bunch, create 4 individual bunches of foliage. For each bunch, stagger your branches at slightly varied lengths to create a flowing and full look. Tightly secure each bunch with floral wire.
Step 2: Place one bunch at either end of the table and let it slightly overflow off the edge.
Step 3: Layer in your other two bunches over the others, intertwining them in the middle so they close the gap. If this is for an indoor environment then you can stop here. If it’s outside then you’ll want to secure the bunches together with your floral wire.
Step 4: Add in your fabric flowers, distributing them throughout the runner in groups of twos and threes keeping a mix of colors and sizes. If your set up is outdoors then be sure to attach floral wire to the backs of the flowers using hot glue and secure each floral to select branches.
To complete this inspired look add: vintage jewel accented floral napkin rings
